The Hogg Brothers Story

Hogg Brothers Pty Ltd is a family-owned earthmoving company. Launched in 2004, we have more than a decade of experience working out of our Pakenham headquarters. Hogg Brothers have gained insight into the changing world of construction and building; that knowledge is a direct result of our evolution from an earthmoving company to a local industry powerhouse.

Although Hogg Brothers appear relatively young, the company does not lack experience. The operation is run by Tom Hogg, who has been in the building and construction business since the 1970s.

Tom noticed gaps in services to local clients in his time, particularly in the heavy machinery hire arena. He knew it was cheaper for his clients to rent heavy machinery rather than buy it. He also knew there were only so many times a contractor would use a 40-tonne articulated dump truck. This was the impetus for him to start Hogg Brothers heavy machinery hires. The company offers clients big and small the ability to rent heavy machinery like:

These machines have taken part in large civil construction projects including the Peninsula Link Freeway -- which used 14 Hogg Brothers machines, the airstrip in the Adelaide Hills for Aerotech, the Pakenham bypass freeway project, and several rail projects around Melbourne.

Tom has always focussed on delivering services with honesty, integrity and going above and beyond. Although typically seen as an earthmoving company, Hogg Brothers have evolved to expand its offerings. These include:
